What was the Titanic?

Titanic was a luxury ship and was built in 1909. It was a floating mansion and famous people from all over the world came to board the ship. Sadly, the ship hit an iceberg and slowly vanished beneath the icy depths of the Atlantic, killing over 1,500 people.

Fun Facts:

  • The movie was released on the 19th December 1997

  • Some of the characters in the movie were actually on the real Titanic and saw the real ship

  • The movie has made 2.195 billion USD and over 8 billion dirhams

  • The Titanic was the size of 3 football fields

  • The Titanic went down on April 15th

What is the film about?

The movie is about the 1912 sinking of the RMS Titanic. It stars Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio. The two play characters called Jack and Rose, who are in different social classes. They fall in love after meeting aboard the ship and they show that money means nothing and love means everything.


What are they doing for the 25th anniversary?

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, a remastered version of James Cameron's multi-Academy Award winning Titanic will be re-released in theatres on February 10th in 3D and 4K HDR and high-frame rate.
